Dr. John Bertsch DDS and The Giving Company have officially partnered with Equal Start and the Oak Park initiative. Through a twenty year friendship, Dr. Bertsch and Equal Start Founder Jason Harper enter their second year of effective and practical care for the children at Oak Ridge Elementary.

Since 2008, Dr. Bertsch’s office and staff have handled all of the acute care cases that Jason’s team has brought to him. This care, compassion, kindness has had a positive direct affect on many children. During this time, many of the patients Dr. Bertsch cared for were seeing a dentist for the first time ever.
Dr John has always been a pioneer in the dentist industry. With his Doctorate from University of the Pacific by the age of 25, Dr. John Bertsch offers top quality and cosmetic dentistry with a full service practice. His dentist office offers same day service crown creation, where most practices take a two week turn around while the crown is created at a lab. Cutting edge!
But the partnership is his most innovative. To our knowledge, the Dr Bertsch’s partnership with Equal Start is a first. Never before has the acute-care of an entire inner-city campus been cared for by a single dentist. Dr. Bertsch has relocated his office to be closer to the needs of Oak Ridge Elementary. As the new office is being transformed into a dentist practice, the ability to serve more children has increased.
